IJM

Well, this week was exciting.  I was chained to a pole for 19 1/2 hours! (not skipping any class).  And I didn't die  At school we had an event to promote International Justice Mission's work.  For three days students were chained up to a pole 24/7, one at a time, for different time lengths and asked other students to donate any loose change to loosen the chains of the oppressed.  These are the words of Matt Asperagan, the IJM student leader, "Our goal of $300 was well surpassed, and (at the risk of being known as a sandbagger) we kicked that goal in the teeth!  The cost of (58) shirts was $406.  When subtracted from earnings before expenses, our net profit to be sent to IJM in the spring is....

$1,014"

1,2,3 heck yes.

1,2,3 Praise the Lord!

It's so exciting to see the Body of Christ join together in things like this.  And it's very encouraging.
